Title: Mk3 suspension problem!
Post by: Craig77 on 15 August 2010, 22:04
Guys just a quick question?
Ive recently fitted a set of Jamex coilovers to my ride and running 17" TT comps on 205 40 17's rears on 5mm spacers
Ive got some Rubbing issues and know i have to roll my arches but at the mo ive set my ride height at abt 1" from the arch!the thing is I still feel that the coilovers are to soft!IE iam getting huge suspension travel when the are working and gets worse with more weight in the car!will removing the helper springs work and is this ok?

any input would be awesome!

No removing the helper springs will not help. These are usually to stop the set up coming apart and not reseating properly when the coilover becomes unloaded.
If its too soft it will be because the spring rate isn't hard enough for the feeling you want.
