Title: New fusebox easy fit?+ Fuel relay burnt
Post by: Alps on 13 January 2005, 22:56
How easy is it to fit a new fuse box?

When i bought my mk1 rivage, it had a burnt out fuel relay which had been replaced, but it had damaged the connectors on the fuse box, so to start you sometime have to wiggle the relay!

ive changed the fuel pump in case that was the cause, havent changed the top pump (should I change that too?)

The interior light stays on really dim if i put it to come on on the door, and the right front light is dim.

im thinking its all to do with the burnt out fusebox.

I have a spare one, is it a easy swap?

thanks

easy as pie. just remove the old one and plug the new one in it's place.

ok, took me a total of an hour, disconnected the battery, then unplugged all the plugs, and reconnected the new one , sorted, started first time too!

- fixed the fuel reley problem and
- fixed the horn - must have been a faulty relay on that too!
