Title: Anybody fitted 4x98 wheels before?
Post by: Neo Badness on 14 August 2010, 18:08
As titled really been offered a sweet set of wheels in 4x98, guy says he's had them on his mk2 for years without issue but to my mind 4x98 is not 4x100 granted only 2mm, but will that make a difference.

Suggestions before I lash cash

That's what I thought but they guy is adamant that he bought some then never fitted them as it fitted with the original vw bolts. Hmmmmn, that's the trouble with the internet. You find brilliant stuff but you can't always try before you buy. They are tasty though, off an old racing Fiat from the late 70's I believe.
Pretty obscure make but need a refurb 16x9, not sure of the offsets yet either. Plus tyres...

I'll see if I can dig out the pics.

If the wheels are alloy, I wouldn't consider fitting them to my car at over 30 years old, unless they had been crack tested...

Good point, I hadn't even thought about that.

Cheers. I'll check with the seller.
