right need to do head gasket on the mk1 and come accross a bit of a problem.
everything is done/undone ready to come off except one bolt on the inlet manifold that i mentioned before. the stupid alun headed bolt has rounded and I can't get a bigger torx bit in also tried one of the reverse thread drill things with no success mainly because you cant get a drill in there or a hammer. running out of ideas dremmel the head of the bolt off maybe then worry about the stud????? obviously this causes a problem with removing the head as i can't get to the exhaust manifold bolts
anyone got any ideas
cheers

Yeah if you do what wayne says you should then be able to grind/cut the head of the bolt off and when the manifold is out of the way you should be be able to get the rest of it will mole grips???.... When the manifold is off i would soak the remains of the bolt in WD first.. might help.

will it come out with the manifolds on it, i didn't think there was enough room to get the exhaust manifold out. i prob should of mentioned this is a 1988 mk1 cabby dunno if its any different.
I'll give it a go when the weathers better
