Just found this for anyone thinking of fitting a bodykit to their Mark 3 !!!!

Nice..........although if anyone likes the mirrors I have some in the shed going cheap
-
That's an offence even for a scrapyard
-
each to there own, I have a similar kit being sprayed now ready for the 1.4.
-
i agree each 2 their own.think it looks 2 much.
-
I'm halfway through fitting a kit on mine, although its nowhere near as much as this I'm still a bit reluctant to post it on here as I know what the responces will be :P
This one does look sh!t though
-
All it needs is the u in the plate chaining to a y and ya laughing.
-
oh yeah didnt notice that.
-
surpose every 1 is different. if u like your car with body kit then doesnt matter wot other poeple think.

Totally agree Mate. It's your car and what you do is up to you as some of my older post's state. The thread is not there to take the p**s out of bodykits. If you get a nice kit and fit it properly then it can look nice but this one looks like an abortion really. Do it properly and you won't get the mickey took out of you. If you like your car that's all that matters in the end.

As said I am not slating bodykits but the one in the link looks bad....you have to admit that !!! That car looks nothing like yours Len which proves my point that if it's fitted properly then the bodykit is not a bad item. The one in the link looks like it was made in a garden shed and stuck on with superglue by Stevie Wonder
-
Agreed with Dean.
I'm not a really a big fan of body kits, but there are some that look alright, but NOT the one in the link
-
I think that bodykit is something different from all this OEM rubbish
-
i like!!
Not!!!!!!
-
is this darth vader`s old car?
-
^^ yeah. If it had a red stripe that could be a lightsaber..

who needs some batterys for there sarcasm meter?

whoever thought that bodykit was a good idea for that poor golf, needs to have their gonads chopped off...
-

Indeed, stop them breeding if nothing else, thus making the world safer for all of us (especially Golfs it would appear).
I must confess I've little time for these kits. All these "wings", "splitters" and "skirts" presumably can trace their distant ancestory back to the aerodynamic parts fitted to race cars, but most of the chav-tastic stuff knocking around is almost undoubtedly 100% aerodynamically useless. Love to stick one of these Kev-mobiles in a wind tunnel and see what's what. I'd be willing to bet all you'd see is a massive increase in drag. Also, lest we forget, all this sh*te adds weight too. So, there you have it, a modified car that's slower than standard; a new dictionary definition for "a waste of bl**dy time!".

That bodykit does look a tad terrible to be fair!
-
That bumper is nasty :lipsrsealed: As others have said, there are nice bodykits out there, like Len's.
-
I like the way the listing says its in excellent condition, then proceeds to a long list of things wrong with it :P
-
Funny how no one is bidding on this....might buy this as the booby prize in the charity rolling road raffle
-
Im not a fan of bodykits unless theyre quite subtle. Not seen lens car yet so im off to check it out now!
-
Horrid

Subtle kits like this look alright in my opinion :afro:
-
Len's isn't too bad, but I still prefer the original ones
-
Yeah i still prefer standard but lens looks nice, got a meaty but subtle thing goin on! And yeah i like the back bumper!
-
also it says
power: 130
from a 2.0 8v?
hmm think the details are as sketchy as the bodykit
-
Looks like something from barryboys.co.uk
Not to my taste, way too chavvy.
-
Here's me thinking nobody liked mine!
Cheers!

The thing I like with yours Len is that it does not overpower the car and looks like something VW would do. If VW did the one in the original link then they would end up like Rover
-
Lens is nice bit I think the front looks a bit too beefy. I'll get pics of mine up tomorrow, not a kit just skirts and front/rear valances. I think they compliment the original bumpers well :)
