Had the cambelt changed on Monday but noticed they didn't stamp the book. Should they have?
-
I don't think they do.
Just make sure you keep the invoice that should clearly state that it's been done for your records.
-
As above,no stamp in the book, just keep the invoice for your record's.
-
I got them to stamp my book, and tick the box to say that the belt had been changed.
-
If I was looking to buy a car then I would rather see an invoice for the belt being done over a stamp in the book anyday.

Agree. Obviously i've kept the invoice as well, but people do like to see lots of expensive stamps in the book.

They should stamp the book and tick the box that says toothbelt changed. As mentioned keep the invoice also for proof.

^^^ Next time you're there, get them to stamp it...? Not really worth a trip especially - because you have the invoice - but it's nice to be all official.

Cheers Chaps.
Will pop in next time i'm passing and get it ticked and stamped.
-
If you had it done at the dealers it will be on the system if you ever needed to prove it.

I had the Cambelt & DSG Oil/Filter changed at VW dealer, they stamped the book, ticked the box, and wrote in there DSG Oil & Filter changed.
