Title: MK3 on the wobble!!!
Post by: Justins145bhpMK1 on 13 August 2003, 09:38
Morning guys, a question on my MK3 today, getting terrible steering wobble under hard braking, its been getting progessively worse over the last few weeks.

What is it?? The disks and pads were changed 12 months ago.

Morning.
Sounds like warped discs............but you don't really want to hear that as you've changed them so recently.  :( :(

Discs should last longer than 12 months.
Where did you get them from. 'golfvr6' is going to have more ammo to throw at me if you say GSF.

Yep rich! Seriously though, i bought some crossed drilled discs and performance pads from GSF for my passat a few years back, the pads lasted a year, and the discs were so warped after a year i had to replace the lot. I was getting exactly the same syptoms as Justin is experiencing, wheel vibration.
