Stolen and recovered so its on a Q Plate, so cant be 100% sure of the age :undecided:
Dont think the mileage will be 100% sure either then

Does have GolfGTI.co.uk stickers on it though

Dealer should be able to do it with a chassis number?

unless its been filed off hence being a Q plate :undecided: otherwise surely DVLA would have the original reg on their records.

Just found this:
Vehicles are assigned "Q" prefix registration numbers to show that their origins or age are uncertain. "Q" numbers are therefore non-transferable and must remain with the vehicle unless documentary evidence which confirms its origins or age comes to the attention of the DVLA who may then choose to assign an age-related registration mark. If you find such documentary evidence for your Q plated vehicle then you should send it to your nearest DVLA Local Office who may then assign a replacement age-related registration number plate to the vehicle.

Deffo will be no trace of the chassis number if its on a Q, my mate had a RS Turbo on a Q, nothing on that what so ever, all serial numbers were removed. the whole point of it is so it cant be traced to its original identity
