if i want to de arch my gti what trim will i need to make it look neat again and has anyone has bad experiences from doing it?
-
I searched this morn mate! there are plenty of threads about it, good & bad points to it, there is even a guide linked from club gti, you will need the cl bump strips 6 parts in total for a 3 door, 8 for a 5 door,
Drill the rivets out and polish, simple as that!
-
unless you find rust lurking underneath ;)
trims are quite handy for hiding rolled (hammered) arches too

As above, cl trim complete.

you will also be left with a hair line where the arch met the paint and it looks sh!t haha, you can flat and polish them out sometimes if your lucky tho

I didnt! Probably means that yours had a bad spray over!

mine had the line but were 100% rust free.....i refitted them as no polish would sort them!
