Title: Sunroofs

Morning all, i seem to have a leak somewhere within the sun roof. does any one know the week points around the sunroof and how easy it is to change the seals and also the drainage tube that goes from the corners down the pillar and exits by the hinge, how can i check this isnt blocked? or change it if it does? please help im starting to feel like a fish in a mobile fish bowl!

check the drains first, get a long bit of welding wire of similar and poke it down the holes

so something fairly soft as i dont want to puncture the tubing inside, if i do pop it how do i replace it>?

I used a fcuk load of carb cleaner and stuck my finger in the nipples where the cleaner was coming out  :grin:

Be very careful about poking things down the sunroof drains as it is, as has already been mentioned, too easy to puncture the tubes. One approach I tried was to blow them through with a compressed air line, although again it pays to take a bit of care; don't go mental with the air pressure.

i was thinking about trying with a air duster for computer parts and a syringe with some warm soapy water in. but if they are or get ruined how do i get to them?

The easy way to to slowly pour boiling water down the drainage hole at the top and the water should appear at the bottom of the car. If it is blocked then as said very carefully use something long and thin (and blunt) to try to clear the blockage but the boiling water usually clears them out Mate.
