hey guys, just wondering what you all think are the best alloys for the mk3
-
Personal choice mate, its what you like, no point havin a set off alloys on your car every1 thinks are nice if u dont like them
-
Or if u need some help with imagination and ideas, look in the "show yor mk3" thread at top of the page, will get many ideas im sure
-
There are no "best alloys", but it's a good idea to use something VAG related or BBS's, rather than Halfords/eBay bullsh!t.
-
Sorry, when I said best I meant more in your own opinion. Ive not really seen anything that stands out for me, quite like the idea of standard porche alloys but how easy are these to fit??
-
I've got a feeling most people will say BBS :P seems to be a popular choice on here. I'm happy with my Inovit Manics as I think they go well with my black GTi, but as said its down to personal preference. Have a look around some sites :)

go for summit different.
SLOT MAGS.

im still waiting,lol

The most popular answers will be: BBS, Borbet A's, Porsche D90s and TT Comps maybe a Merc Wheel (Can't remember which one though!!) Then you got stuff like: Lenso, Audi Pepper pots, Keskin, Schmidt...
-
if you want to be away from the crowd, think about wheels that haven't been on that kindof car before, i've got some bbs ra's waiting in the garage to be refurbed and stuck on the mk3
-
I have Audi TT wheels (early type) on my 16v, but I'm a VAg/BBS whore so don't listen to me.
-
In all seriousness now loving the jdm crossover style stuff at the mo. If you got yourself some gold dished mesh / honeycomb wheels with polished lip it would lookthe nads!
But yeah try and think outside the box - everyones repping D90's and borbet a's at the mo. I've got MGZR wheels on mine and haven't seen anyone else with em. Mainly because they have crazy offset and the centrebore was too small......
-
Bit off topic as they're steel not alloy but how about some Weller Motorsports (think old FF1600 wheels). White as standard which wouldn't look great but get them sprayed silver, satin black or, for a further twist, body colour. Could be something a bit different.

only come in 13's??? So won't fit over the calipers and will look odd in the arches. A mate has some 13 x 8's on his mk2 though and they look schweet

15"s on a low 3 do look the biz. White banded steels look good too, but heavy and can be pricey.
-
got the ones in my sig that came with the car.....(i like em )
sortin a deal for some audi tt wheels as i like them to so will have 2 sets to chop and change between :smug:

I went for something different
