Hi guys
just wondering if anyone has changed their rear number plate lights for something like the new bright White BMW led/bulbs?
I've read that it could show fault codes or just plainly not work, but it'd improve the rear, no end.
Anyone managed it?
Cheers :)

I put in different bulbs that are whiter than stock, but not the same blue-whit as on some BMWs or Lexuses. I've read that some brands of L.E.D lights don't cause errors because they have an extra resistor to balance the load. I've also read that some brands run very hot and this can cause the plastic bits of the hosuing to melt :lipsrsealed:

The light does cover the whole plate, my camera just sucks at night shots.

Not checked the link above but they will need to be the resistored type, otherwise it'll flag as having a bulb out, which then cuts the power to the bulbs, so you cant just ignore the warning and they'll be on.

Yeah they all have built in resistors. Had them in for a few months with no issues at all.
