Title: Help translating a VW site in Norway!
Post by: tinman on 11 January 2005, 21:13
I need help translating this page:

http://forum.vwaudi-club.no/showthread.php?s=08de1285aac4aa57f71166b370df29c1&p=158393#post158393

there is a term near the bottom "357 601 025G".

I would dearly like to know what they are talking about, and what this code is referring to. I know that this is a wheel code.

Apparently it's in danish, the guy I asked isn't great at English but the general gist is the guy is saying they shouldn't be difficult to get hold of.
357 601 025G (felg), he said "felg" is "the shiny things on the tyres" .. no idea what he means by that !

i'm going to trck down these wheels tomorrow. time for the VAG counter.

the key thing is to find out which vw wore the 15" version of Le Castellets. if i can find that out, i can find/import a wreck and scrap it for the wheels.

Got it in one . A special edition of the mk2 also had them on but I've forgot which one, I think it was one of the 8v oak green mk2's that they made in about 88, did they do a mk2 anniversary or campaign ? If they did I think it was one of those special editions but not entirely sure. :undecided:

campaign mk2s have the 14". which i already have two sets of.

someone on vortex has said they were standard on - get this - the Canadian Passat Synchro! followed up by "extremely rare"....

talk about esoteric.

next job - find a picture of said passat wearing said wheels :-(

job after that - wait for one to appear on ebay. whats worrying me is that the canadian passat synchro, seems to have the words G60 in the middle as well.

So tin, you're after 15" le castellets ? In that case you need to find a broken mk1 Rivage cab, probably easier than a Canadian passat synchro , these wheels do come up from time to time on ebay as I've seen them there, I'll keep an eye out and if I see any anywhere I'll let you know.
