Title: Brakes
Post by: benji mk2 on 10 January 2005, 15:39

Tried to fit my nice new 16v servo and master cylinder this weekend, however things did not go to plan   Firstly the clevis at the back of the servo wont fit onto the small ball joint (this could probably be made to fit with a bit of subtle modification) . The second problem is that on the old clevis there is a small hole for a little return type spring to sit in, on the 16v unit  this isn't there and it doesn't look like there is room to drill one? This has got me stuck, anyone got any ideas????????

Don't know about your problem but is there anything in this sticky thread in this section that might point you in the right direction http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=8181.0  :undecided:

I unscrewed the clevis off the mk1 servo and fitted it to the bigger one, I used a passat servo so yours may be different.
