Title: Hello and a little advice please fellas
Post by: Loud on 03 August 2010, 15:48
Hi, I'm currently a Honda head. Had an Integra DC2 which was fairly modified and now I'm driving an Accord Type R as I had to grow up a little and needed the seats, family. A while ago as a company car I had a Golf GTI 1.8 Turbo, which was nice but not massively quick in comparison to VTEC.

Insurance on the Accord (ATR) is ridiculous at the mo, gone up about £200 for no reason. So I looked around the net and started looking at Golfs again, probably a GTTDI the 150 one I think, although even with a little knowledge of Golfs I'm already getting confused again.

The Golf size is just about right for the family and I do need some Ooommph from whatever car I drive.

Question is....(please don't take offence)....will I be a little bit "Meh!" with a Golf GTTDI 150?
Am I looking at the right car?
And finally what kinda prices should I be considering as they vary a fair bit when I'm searching.
Sorry for asking lots but you know what it's like when you have to look for a new car

Welcome and errr, goodbye. If you read this, welcome back.

Those questions are probably best asked in the mk4 section as a few guys in there will be able to answer all your questions. As far as I know TDI 150s are pretty good and you can always get it remapped to give you more.
