Title: vr6 distributor

anyone know wt theplug on bottom of vr6 distributor does
mine broke and got to connect 3 wires from distributor whichh are
 red black and green and on engine loom the colours are brown black
red white and yellow black

it tells the ecu where the cams are, the car will run without it connected but not as well. its probably the same connector as you find on the 4 pot engine distributors, so id be down the scrappy with me snips.  chop one off and solder to your loom
