Title: Crumbly rust under arches...
Post by: TheRaven on 31 July 2010, 11:30
Ok, I've read the rust sticky and googled and searched so now I asking for advise from people that have done it.
Under my plastic arches the metal is pretty rusty and crumbling. If I take my arches off (which Im not doing until I can sort it) what is the bet way of rebuilding tne metal back up without welding? Filler etc?
Any help at all appreciated, pics appreciated more!

pics? sounds like new wings to me though. think i'm gonna have the same problem on my mk3. plates could be welded filled and wings painted but you may be lucky and find some decent wings in your colour and jobs a guddan

Welding or replacement panels is the best way to sort it.
