Title: First thing to do in GTI

Sup all,

I get my Mk 5 GTI today (if the money goes through). Excitied  :laugh:

But wondering what to do first; chill drive, drive fast or just go for a long random drive and see where the roads take me!

Take it easy and get to know the car before going mental with it lol

well, sounds to me like you just wanna get it and thrash the knackers off it like what chav saxo drivers do.

when gettin a new car, never rag it others wise your new car will be your old wrecked car within a few days. As said get to know the car as it will handle different to what your used to.

lol, yeah i think a nice long EASY drive will be the plan.

I got a saxo as well but i have never (couple times over the years maybe) ripped it and looked after it loads (5k services etc). I am hoping after a few weeks with the GTI i will be able to bring myself to put it up for sale!!

leaving to get GTI in 40mins  :grin:

The MK5 GTI is in a different universe to the Saxo, your going to love it and stick the Frenchy up for sale the second you get home.

Congratulations Aman, you're very lucky. I'm planning to buy an MK GTI but I still need more than 1,000eur more to buy it so I will need to wait some months to earn this money. (I have recently got a job so my salary isn't too big) But I will be patient and I will wait because I want this car so bad. I guess after I get it I will do buy enough food for several days and I will do a long test drive in Romania (the country where I live). I will even sleep in the car because I will be so excited. If I will get a gf I will bring her with me and... Double fun! :)
