ive got a 8v with at back janspeed ss exhaust and was wondeinr if a de cat might be worthwhile? ive found this on ebay and was wondering if anybody has got one or reconmend a de cat?

Going to be honest here.

It will gain you a little but not much plus you will need to refit the cat for the mot.

MOT fail with de-cat pipe, very little gain and that one is for a 16v so dont think it will fit the 8v downpipe, pretty sure the bore is bigger on the valver exhaust

would the exhaust sound nay different with this?

It will sound a little more throaty but the gains, performance wise, will be un-noticeable. Pointless in my eyes and a load of hassle every year putting the cat back on, then taking it back off the next day. Not to mention the risk of damaging your downpipe and brackets every time ya have to feck about with it  :cry:
