Will this fit right hand drive cars? Are the US spec not a wee bit fifferent. I know this is the case with my Polo 1.8T, between the stage 3 (uk kits) and the US ones. Longitude and tranverse??? If it fits then i want one
-
The UK spec GTIs and US spec are pretty much the same engine wise.
the main difference is your guys sterring wheel is on the wrong side

Will be interesting to see if or how they have modified the K04 to make it a straight bolt on.
From what I had heard from JKM it either required a bit of angle grinder work to a metal tab on the back of the engine block or a modification to the turbo / manifold.

manifold is played. The kit is VERY promising for the money. I have installed one kit on an A3 quattro, and it flew right off the bat.

Sent AWE an email, so what and see what they say to it
-
Well spoke to AWE yesterday and the k04 kit should fit no probs! Kit retails at 2000$ and 2500$ including software IIRC! Anyways, he said to deal with regal autosport as they are their uk d
dealers. Also if there was 5 people after the kit he could do us a deal! Seems a very good kit and not too expensive as far a turbo upgrades go plus you can keep standard fuel pump and injectors, going to ask about the clutch.
-
So about 1300 GBP??
-
Yep!
Going to email AWE and ask about the clutch, suppose you would just need to suck it and see
-
It probably very similar to the Mk5 in that it will start ok but a few thousand miles down and it will start to slip, worth building it in to the budget IMHO
-
I'm interested, cheaper then I was offered a turboback exhaust
-
AWE put me on to Regal Autosport. They are selling it at £1750, £500 quid more than they sell the kit in the US
-
^^^ That's pretty normal for US sourced parts, the import tax on this would be pretty high so that accounts for some of the difference.
-
Makes me wanna  that!
Going to email JKM and see if they have a price in mind for their kit which is due out soon.
