COME ON GUYS SOMEONE HAS GOT TO KNOW AND HELP ME OUT PLEASEEEE
-
I think Polo GTI is smaller brakes so they will not fit.
-
So what other cars could i get them off..
-
Are you sure there 20mm wide as vented are 22mm at 256mm. My old 1.8 driver had 256x14mm solid's and were same calipers as mk2 gti
-
yes im 100% sure that the disc are 256mm and 20mm vented..
-
if they are vented then late mk2 gti calipers should fit and them polo one's wont (different hose fixing!). I know some 2.0 non gti golf's and 1.9tdi's used vented 256mm brakes and searching for them would be best direct fitment bet

wayne 256mm vented discs are 20mm thick, its the 280s that are 22mm :)
yeah as above, if you have vented front discs then late MK2 16v calipers will fit. can also find em on mk3s obviously, and also corrados, Passats and some SEAT models. MK3 Cabrios are mmostly fitted with 256mm front brakes. Polo 256mm calipers will bolt up as well, but the flexi pipe is different as said. you can get conversion pipes we got some for James' MK2 a couple years back. You might even be able to use Polo hoses, or in fact later MK3 GTI 288 hoses may bolt straight up thinking about it
