Title: Look what I did
Post by: countrytrucker on 27 July 2010, 13:59
I sprayed the front splitter to match the grey plastic in the bumper.

Does everyone approve?

Sorry about the photos and dirty car.

loving the work so far.

I've done that to mine also. IMO it makes the car look so much better. (and a bit less porky)

Thanks!

I think it makes a big difference. My mate sprayed it Teal grey for me as he was painting a set of A3 rims that colour. It matches very well.

I was driving with no splitter for a few days and it even looked pretty good without it.

Next job on the list is tinting the front windows slightly to blend in with the back ones.

Definitely a must-do mod on lighter colour cars. I would do mine, only nobody would notice...

So sorry to hear about your accident. Even worse when it is not your fault.
I had a right old prang when you were on holiday. 100% my fault fiddling with my knob and nav. £1170 to repair. VW bodyshop. Perfect job.

Not very sure about the beards.

Looks OK but it's not to my personal taste; by the way, do you ever get a tug from the bobbys for the "illegal" number plates?

Touch wood, no. I have had the same metro style print on my plates for 10 years now. They are very clear and are easier to read than standard plates from further away so the police are quite understanding in that way.
