if your on about the repair kit the vw dealer has them...... they include all the little rubber bits which make the gear change sloppy!

also the gear linkage the plastic bits they wear and cause some problems!

i cant remember the address being posted but
 tsr performance (http://www.tsr-performance.com)
do metal gearlinkage kits which replaces the plastic bits.

so you get solid metal rods instead of metal rods with plastic ends!

there websites changed so i dont know if they still make them..... but they should do..

i hope your joking? $40 for a teflon bush? i know the exchange rate is good but i don't think thats cheap? and the weighted shift rod being a lump of metal jubilee clipped to the rod is a bit bodge. you can buy a mk3 one form vag for about a tenner that'll do the job and look like its meant to be there!

oh and that was the site i was thinking of, good on ya!

You only buy the teflon bushes if you need 'Extreme Duty' ones, i.e. in proper high speed racing applications.  The normal UHMW bushings are $15 a pair.  With the exchange rate as it is it works out pretty cheap!

It all depends how badly worn the linkage is, I got a full kit dirt cheap from EBay which tightened it up noticably, the only thing is my relay ball is a little loose so I'm going to get the UHMW one from missiglinkz at some point

where can you get just the ball from then? i tried my local vw garage but they said i'd have to buy the whole relay shaft.
