Title: Steering UJ rubber shroud - ?

Hi all. I need a new rubber shroud for the steering UJ as the old one has perished and fallen apart. The local dealer can get one but quoted £33.23,.  :shocked: (and they won't give out the part number?)? Looked on GSF but nothing listed.
Anyone know an alternative source? Thanks. (BTW, 8v without PAS)

IIRC this is genuine only, but it might be worth checking at a couple of specialists.

Thought the non pas ones were obsolete? .. if they are and the dealer says he can get one for circa 30quid then buy as many as he can get hold of  :laugh:

SEAT Toledo up to 96 use MK2 UJ boots, just need to find one without PAS. this might be tricky though :(

is it really needed? i cut mine off when i did eng conv, had an immaculate 1 on it as well. it was too in the way when i tried joining the column to rack,so it went in the bin in bits, then i realised i had to swap my column over cos it didnt fit the pas 1!! i probably wouldve been able to leave it on if i had the right parts in the 1st place...

pretty sure could be mot failure but dont quote me on that

Yes, as without it the grease dries out then the uj's fail.

that looks liek a PAS one to me
