Title: polishing after sandblasting.
Post by: Misky on 21 July 2010, 14:08
I have picked up my wheels after they have been sandblasted my question is what step should i take next?
I want to polish the lip so should i use wet & dry (if so any compound with it) or should i use my polishing kit with the mops, bars, vienna lime etc?

Cheers mike.

the thing about sandblasting is that it pits the metal so takes forever to polish out it can be done but will take a very long time.. even glass beading metal pits it a bit would of been easier to just sand instead of sandblast..

For this very reason, i had my BBS RAs acid dipped last week. and have come out perfect with the factory machining still evident after 21 years covered in paint...
