A mate of mine had some spare light smoke tint kicking about, i tinted one of the back windows with it. cant decide wether i wanna do the rest now or not. Idealy i was gonna post up a pic. but my camera is shagged.
So, really i just wanna know wether or not, in theory seeing as i cant get pics, im gonna be making my car look better or worse.

I hate tinted windows but it is your car at the end of the day.
-
The one on the left has rear window tints the other without compare them and decide which one looks right for you

All depends on the car!
I REALLY don't want to do mine, but i think it would suit i nicely but i hate tints :D
But again, it is one of those "each to their own" thingys !
And if your young then do it :) we all do :D

Ha, the perfect opertunity to show off the fact you have two very nice cars. Awww, its a toughy i like both of them. Might aswell give it a go. nothing to loose really except a couple of quid.
-
Is yours a 3 dr or a 5 dr? I think it looks good on the 3drs as it's one big window and if dark colours matches it all in nicelys. 5drs not so much tinted up
-
+1 for chav its ok on certain cars but not mk2s sorry.
-
Chav.
Why would you want to make your car look like a van?
-
on people carriers and limos it makes sense. On anything else it looks rubbish. But, you said light smoke...which I do like all round rather than back 100% and front nothing.
-
CHAVVY!
-
say's the man with blue rear lenses and gold wheels
-
I agree with the 3 door versus 5 door thing. Looks smart on 3 and wrong on 5. I think if you have a 5 door and want tints, you have to do the lot and not just the back.
-
A light smoke on the rears gives you a bit of piece of mind when leaving things on the back seat - at night items are virtually invisible.
However, at night, they also mean manoeuvring becomes that tiny bit more difficult.
-
especially on unlit country roads.

CHAVVY!
CHAVVY! bit odd coming from a man that has gold wheels and blue tints on rear lenses

Ha, Its nice to see iv stirred up a mix of opinions.
My cars a 3dr in Mystic Blue, and yeah it is light tint im considering. I think it'd suit the car, and i'm afew asbos sort of being a chav anyway, although i have been looking at gold wheels too.....

Says the man with a puke green car!
-
dude, that was so 90s
-
Well according to certain members on here im a chav
so heres my word on tints, dont like the van look, looks sh!t, i do like a very very light (legal) tint on ALL windows so they are all the same, other than that its a NO.
i also love the 90's cars so the puke green is good for me haha (did my car porsche peppermint green in the 90's)
-
i been thinking about tints a wee bit. in a way i want to keep it stande4red green tinted. but all the new vw have darkened rear windows and it works great, but weather that will carry across to a old mk3 i dunno, hmmm

Watch out dissin gold wheels! Have to set Chuff on ya!
-
i shouldnt worry about what anyone else thinks, its your car so have a look at some mk3s with tinted windows and decide if its the look your after
and imo just one thing doesnt make your car chavvy, most things look good on the right car, its when its all mixed together it looks
-
I originally had mine tinted to stop the sun blinding at the kids in the back, but dont forget most tints offer 100% UV protection, so they're good for all. Definately keeps the car cooler in the summer, with the added bonus of noone knowing who (or what) you've got in the back!

The whole point of tints at the rear imo on any vehicle, but if one is having them done "for the look" then a light tint will work on most cars, but to blacken them right out Gangsta stylee just looks chavvy to say the least even more so on an older cars......
