Title: New CAM's
Post by: GTI16vGaz on 12 August 2003, 13:17

Is it worth fitting a high lift CAM in a GOLF GTI mk2 8v with 135,000 on the clock

I want a bit more power but I’ve I keep thinking twice with having so many miles on the clock. :-\

Any advice would be appreciated!! :)

Thanks,

Garry

As long as the bottom end of the engine is sound then go for it. After all it is a VW and 100,000 miles isnt really that much anymore.

Thanks for the advice! :D

Just one more question, which CAM would you put in an 8v? something that gives the car more on the top end, or it that not possible?

cheers again!! ;)

I think the wilder the cam the more you get top end and you lose a bit a the bottom.
