Not as a straight swap Mate but you could fit any seats into your car mate. I put Scooby seats in mine but it takes some hard work and effort Mate.

would it be possible to drill holes in seats and sub frames and bolt them together?

Welding is safer and stronger.

hey buddy , it is possible but it involves a lot of work!! cut the mk3 bracket of the floor pan. you need to fabricate a new bracket weld it to the floor you also need to trim the outside wheel down a good bit both on height and width. there s also a little wheel you need to trim off to allow you to slide the wheel down the runners. the rear suits are a bit more fiddly though, they invlove pullin the new material and foam off the seat and its a direct replacement for the whole seat(it fits nicely but a not perfect) doing this saves a lot of cuttin and makin new brackets  i done this a couple of weeks ago took me about 5 hours or so but that was me bein a bit lazy  mate you wont regret doin it so comfy and so much more support!!!

Sounds a lot more technical than my old mk3 fiesta lol, just unbolt the subframes and bolt them onto whatever seats you want :P

Would it not be easier to take the old subframes off the mk3 seats and put them on the mk4 seats instead of putting the whole setup from the mk4 into the mk3?

Loads easier this way....I bolted the Mark 3 runners to the Scooby seats then just slid them back into place. No need to start cutting the floor pan area. Loads easier !!!!!

You can get universal runners from motorsport factors type places if you can't be arrsed to hack about but could be more work that way
