Title: Mk1 cab oil pressure

Manual say oil pressure should be 29lb but I'm only getting 26psi by taking the pressure at the head via the oil pressure switch. I've been told that the pressure will be lower at the head than down on the sump.
Is there any other way of meassuring the oil pressure?

yeah pressure at head will be a bit lower, try taking the pressure reading at the oil filter housing, it should be a bit higher there
