hi all,im new here as you can probs tell,i have a 96 gti colour concept and i need to lower the front by about 60mm,ive been told that mk2 shocks and springs will fit but im not convinced for some reason???any help apreciated.
-
they will fit but you need mk2/early mk3 spring cups. the biggest issue you may have is the mk3 lardy weight compared to the mk2 so spring rates will be off (basically mk2 -60mm front springs may lower it even more?)
-
Why are you only lowering the front, will handle crap
-
Why
Exactly.

just buy set of coilovers for £200 online, sorted.

got the rears ready to go on coz they were cheap so just need fronts but havin a hard time finding some one selling just the fronts, found quite a few second hand fronts for the mk2 but none so far for a mk3,if all else fails then coilovers it is,just trying to pennie pinch lol.

Mk2 will fit but unless you fitting a matched set up you will and can cause issues
