Title: BBS alloy wheels
Post by: tyson4 on 18 July 2010, 21:52
Hi,

I have a golf gti 16v anniversary, 1996.  Apparentlt there were only 400 of these cars made.

They have some special BBS alloy wheels.  Can anyone tell me where I can get a new set of these?  I can't find any!!

Thanks for your help

They are called BBS RX II's

16" X 7J and GOOD condition 2nd hand sets go for £400.

special wheels with issues! get yours refurbished as originals were/are very very prone to laquer issues! (it wasn't unheard of vw replacing bbs rx2's under warranty after a year or two!)

ebay and forum adverts is your best bet, do come up but not often.
Mk4 bora's had the same wheels but with different offset and 6.5" wide and fit a mk3, may need 5mm spacer, I didn't but some do.
They always need refurbing the lacquar never lasts

+1 to the lacquer issues... The lip is diabolical.
