as above states one yes just one of the bloody alun headed bolts holding the inlet manifold on has rounded instead of undoing i assume this has happened to people before how do you get the bloody manifold off now?
why are they alun headed bolts anyway who's stupid idea was that

Lots of ways, cut a slot if you have room and use a big screwdriver etc etc
-
I'll have fun trying to get anything in the gap to do that :(

Try a bigger allen bit and hammer it in.
-
yer was thinking of trying that again is tricky to get a hammer in there too, if only i had a ramp i could get at it from underneath then
-
bang a torx bit in there steve :afro:

Banging in a spline drive normally works for me on cheese bolts

Snap-on make an easy out kit specifically for alun heads. i know its works cuz ive got a set at work. maybe you could hire a set or buy a set, i think they were about £65 though.
they look like normal easy outs but theyre flat bottomed and not got quite such an extreme taper.
and try heating it up a bit, hot air gun or a glow lamp (CAREFULLY!) on the manifold just to warm it a little....co-officient of linear expansion should mean that it will losen off.

Irwin bolt grippers?
