Title: gearbox /clucth noise

  i have just brougt a 2003, 150 diesel i
took it to vw to check out and they said i had gearbox bearings noisey --suspect input shaft bearing  and will be £600+ vat is that right,the noise you could hear was half way when you lifted the clutch pedel  . help not a good start for not having one before

Not that i'm gonna be able to advise you better but may help other to understand to which you should get a better response :)

hi ,it comes on when the clutch pedel is half way up and sounds like a  long shuuuuuuuush noise as if someone is telling you to be quite
