Remove spare wheel
Remove rear seats and passenger seat
Drive around with no more than half a tank of fuel
Get some OEM alloy wheels as they are lighter than any rep sh!te or if you've got money some Oz Superleggeras (sp)

That will save about 60Kg straight off

You got to decide if you want a GTI or a track car really

A sort of half and half mix won't work unless you got money to spend.  Carbon fibre bonnet and wings, perspex windows etc etc

Could get some light weight front seats maybe  :undecided:

yeah, i cant track with it as its my only way of getting around, just wanted to make it a tad quicker before tuning. it would be cool to strip another one though, if i had the cash!

Do you have any budget in mind at all?

Tuning the 2.0 engine is really not cost effective

ive gto a bit to spend as i got the car for free, but i might trade it in for the 1.8 t, it sounds more fun and tuning friendly.

If power is your thing then that would be the more sensible option
