Only noticed this a couple of nights ago and cannot remember if its just the way they are.
The headlight switch, only the the knob lights up when the lights are turned on and not the symbols around it. Is this how its supposed to be ?
Also the headlight beam angle switch and the one next to it dont light up when the headlights are turned on. Again is this how its supposed to be ?

not sure what beam angle switch is but rest means your bulb has blown in the switch, the centre knob is lit via a led (and on all the time with the ignition) the rest is done by a white bulb set deep in the rear of the switch, u need to use a screw driver to prize it out (twist) and u can get a new bulb at the dealers for a few quid

The dimmer switch and headlight beam angle switch are lit by the same bulb as they all part of the headlight switch unit.. Cheers kells you were right it is deep set in the back but managed to get it out easy with just a flat head scewdriver.
Went to dealer and had to order it... £4.89
Was only expecting a couple of quid !!

Went to pick it up from VW and they sent a trim clip but had the correct part number on the paper work...
