Title: LED rear light adapters
Post by: countrytrucker on 14 July 2010, 15:57

Does anyone have a set of these adapters they would like to 'lend' me until I get mine?

I have the LED lights in my hands but no adapters! Very frustrating!

I was meant to have a set of adapters from Germany arriving today but I have been let down and the replacement set won't be here until the weekend or Monday.

Didn't the dealer tell you that you didn't need them? if they knew there product they'd be dangerous! Anyway if anyone lends you a set it'll take a couple of days to get to you anyway so i'd just wait it out mate, be worth it in the end!

Did you not buy the LEDs from SteveP + the adaptors he supplies with them?

Thought so.
Penny wise, pound foolish, time wasting. Most unfortunate. We all live and learn.
Dealers know nothing regarding retro-fitting rear LEDs to Golfs. He should have listened to SteveP.

I did listen to SteveP. I know I need the adapters.

I have a friend who got me the parts at a very keen price.

I asked SteveP if he would supply the adapters on their own but he was not able to do this.

So you have to wait if you pay less.

I would have got them from SteveP but my friend insisted he got them for me then SteveP was unable to supply the adapters so I had to source them elsewhere.

I have my own reasons for getting the parts through the dealer and I was only being kind to a friend by letting him order them for me?!

I don't think I deserve this abuse!

Now, now. There has been no abuse from what I can read.
Hope you get those adaptors ASAP.

It just seemed like people were happy to point where I went wrong by not ordering the parts through SteveP.

No offense taken, I just had a bad day at the office when I posted that.

Fingers crossed they arrive today. I got them posted express from Germany on Wednesday morning and they are normally delivered anywhere in Europe in 2 days (Wednesday for Friday). I expect it would take an extra day possibly to reach Northern Ireland but the optimist in me is saying they will be here later for me to fit

You had a bad day in the office? I had a bad week in my life with a crashed car which is now very well fixed. Collection tomorrow morning. Everything tightly crossed!
