Title: Can someone help? Clutch pedel wobble, gear stick.....
Post by: bigstring on 14 July 2010, 12:23

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello there people of the GTI Forum, got me self a 1.8T eith 90k just over a week ago, loving the MPG, and the little turbo does the car proud...

Anyway on to the problems I have picked up

1 being a squeaky clutch peddle and a wobble side to side? any ideas?

2 Engine never gets to mid way on temp, sits at 70-80 all the time? Thermostat? It does have a large KnN on there... any ideas? NOW SORTED _ TEMP SENSOR

3 when putting your foot on the clutch and on start up the revs dip to about 200, then pop back up again, if trying to pull off sharpish then it struggles... NOW SORTED _ CLEANED TB

4 - gear stick seems a little tough some times, goes in to gear but not as smooth as I feel it could?

Anyone with any help - Chuck it my way.

Regards

I has an accelarator pedal on a MK1 that moved from side to side. Because of he age of the car the spot welds to the bulk held had failed. Had to get it re-welded.
