anyone going to the leeds vw fest, as not a member of a local club, as i cant find one,(in halifax) and was waundering the crack about going for the day. thanks

booked full weekend tickets today.
few of us going to this, look out for M.R.S. car clinic t-shirts, stickers etc and my mates cream and brown jetta which will hopefully be entering the show and shine :smiley:

I'll be there all weekend with my daughter.Camping in the family section but not a member of any clubs so my Vento won't be on any stands.Lookout for it in the car park though :-) Steel blue metallic with cream OZ Polaris wheels and child seat in the front!
Will try to remember who's going and say hi I'd I get the chance.Here's hoping for good weather!

New to the VW event at Harewood house, use to go every year with the folks for the RR meet, just used to park on the grass from memory and pay when you arrive, is this still the same set up does anyone know???
If so how much is the entry fee for the day on Sunday??
Is there car parts for sale and that sort of stuff???

If so how much is the entry fee for the day on Sunday?? £11 on the day (this is entry to the house..and the show is directly in front)
Is there car parts for sale and that sort of stuff??? yes there's a section for spares etc

i am devastated, i now cant go! its 0246. i should of been driving home for the weekend. but my relief has pulled a sicky, so im not stuck on hms drake main gate! f**king navy! have a good weekend all. all been well see you all at another event, or if anyone lives up near me (halifax) and there is a meet going around 29th aug to 4th sept, give me a shout ill be on leave!

Top day out, top weather some great motors and vans to admire, first one for me and the boy but we both loved it, looking for the next meet, somewhere nearby, any recommendations???

Saw chuffs wagon in the camp on sat night and also on the passat stand today.Great weather and some nice cars.Surprising how many "standard" cars there were on some club displays.Also only spotted two other ventos the whole weekend.Maybe should have entered mine for show and shine!
Another great VW Fest! Will be there next year.

Awesome day, big thanks to everyone that went down. I personally think that the show could be much much bigger. They should have the special club stands and the show and shine ect but the carpark had some awesome cars in it not given the option to show. There should be standard parking and special parking, with the special bit just been rows of decent vag cars, to help the owners (like me) break into it all a bit and get people talking with you about your own car and to see what others are doing in a similar position to yourself. Also, wtf was with all the vauxhalls in the main bit? :shocked:

awesome weekend! saw a few cars i recognise. took lots of pics but need to sort them out properly and get them uploaded. i took way to many of us all pissing about on the camp site! :smiley:

...........good idea that mate. :smiley: We had to leave around 14:30 & it was a right twit to get out.Ended up 1/2 way down Leeds road after driving ages across the fields. Good job it was dry.
