How bad is it on the PD's? :lipsrsealed: £20 worth in my tank, car broke down, got recovery out who pointed the error of my ways.
Will it just be lost £20 petrol, hours labour and fuel for the tank?

Bloke stuck £30 of petrol in mine the day I bought it
Drained the tank, brimmed it with diesel and drove home. It smoked for the first mile then stopped.
Changed the fuel filter a couple of days later and 4 years later the engine is still going despite my attempts to kill it

Thank fook for that. Trust BP to put the fillers the wrong way round eh? The ESSO down the road from me is on the very right hand side, BP unleaded is in the same position :embarassed:
I even changed the fuel filter on the road side thinking it was clogged

Other than a lumpy tick over first thing, she felt better for it

You muppet :D :D :D

Some say a bit of petrol in a diesel tank would give you a bit more poke, is this true?
Not that I wanna do it or anything just curious if it's true.

A guy i used to work with told me once that putting petrol in diesels can clean the injectors,
Ture or False ?
i was thinking False but i don't know much about engines lol :nerd:

On older stuff perhaps
Newer stuff get some Forte Diesel treatment off EBay :afro:

No more loss of turbo either
I hope to f@ck it has cleaned the turbo & EGR saving me doing those too!
I reached 4.5k rpm in 3rd for the first time on Monday, a few times and again a few times on Tuesday and no doubt a few times today   I can't get much above 3k rpm in 4th (70mph) due to traffic, but usually it 'popped' at 3k in 4th.

My g/f did this to my Golf a few years ago..we just drained as much petrol as possible then refilled with Diesel didn't cause the car any problems.
