Title: Top Gear Debut
Post by: ajmoir36 on 12 July 2010, 20:25
My car was on Top Gear last night, check it out. Hammond is driving the Aston taking the groom to the church.

It is, I have been rewinding BBC iPlayer to find it.  I drive past following the lorry, I appear in the rear window of the aston when Hammond is talking about life and you can see me again when it goes to the outside sitting behind the lorry at the lights.

Quality..... two very nice cars there + your cars nice and clean in the shot.

Where is that being filmed out of interest?

Awesome. Now when you sell it you can state "As seen on Top Gear"  and add like 4 grand to the car

That Aston is just the sexiest thing on 4 wheels though.

Apart from the 2 door Astons of course!!!!

All Arstons look the same and therefore have become boring IMveryHO. :lipsrsealed:

I love the Panacotta to bits.

Panacotta!  The Porsche? Like the food reference

The Aston interior looked phenominal

I did like the Maserati though.  It has real character, an Italian elegance

Reckon I would probably go Aston if pushed.

Porsche 5 door?  wrong!

So wrong, it's right!
It really is a head turner. The Masturbation is ok, the Arston very samey, the Panacotta so bad that it's good.

Hehe, cool! I had SkyPlus'ed TG and watched it last night. I was paying more attention to the Aston , but did catch a glimpse of what looked like a Golf GTI in the background. Result

I have to agree with am1w... Of those 3 cars the porker would be my choice. The porsche may be ugly but at least it will still be ugly in 5 years. When the Maserati has fallen to bits.

Aston does 0-60 in under 6 seconds?  That's fast for an AA truck

But to be honest I would buy a GTI over any of them and use the extra cash for something else a bit more fun!

So is yours a GTD ajmoir36?? , so that means a Golf GTD has had more "airtime" then the Mk6 Golf GTi on Topgear        :lipsrsealed:

It is a GTD rather than a GTI.  Was so mad seeing it on TV as I drove past, I remember the chauffer driving the Aston and thought how odd.  If I had of realised it was Hammond then I would of followed for a bit.

Your name suits you especially if it is turned into a verb.

Had a good look at all three today outside Harrods.
Maser, looks tired, fragile, not very well made.
Aston, too long and thin and no room in the back. A joke!
Porsche, so solid and every one looked at it. Beautifully made.
Asked a couple of people around and they all said the Porsche was it.

I noticed, and I was on the lookout for a red one, but the valver, in this colour, at the price I got it was too good to miss.
