guys, been ringing around a few insurance companies mentioned on here by other members who took out policies with them and most of them say too many mods or a ridiculous figure
my car:
seat leon 1.8T
mods:
turbo back system, remap (soon)fmic, 18" alloys, lowered 35/40mm, silicone hoses, jetex filter, forge 007p
i am:
34, 15 yrs driving experience, 10 yrs ncd, garaged overnight, no points/medical issues or covictions
cheapest so far is £525 from sky insurance with £250 excess.
i am currently with HIC and my renewal is £510 with the fmic/remap /turbo back system
my question to you lot is do you guys declare ALL your mods?
i realy dont facny tryigng to cheat for a cheaper quote and then getting caught out and having my isurance invalid. :embarassed:

Yes always declare mods.
Not worth the risk

All my mods are declared. It's not worth it, and if you believe in your car as your pride and joy (which I assume you do due to doing so much to it) then you won't want to put it at risk of a non-payout because you wanted to "cheat" as such.
You know what the best policy is?
Honesty.

Try "Noel Dazely", They have just given me a quote for £535 fully comp on a remap to my 1.8T GTi. I can also pay 12 monthly payments with no deposit or whatever deposit I want and monthly payments, and I am 33 with 6years NCB.
