I took mine off and can't get it back on.  Cant work out what the top of the metal rod connects to.  Dont remember a rubber pipe as well.  Perhaps mine is missing.  Had a feel around the lock mech and there was some tape there. Mmm.

Can you post a pick of the unit and pipe, and the top of the metal rod - -is there a clip attached to it.

thanks

Took mine off the other day, the metal rod on the pump seems to attach to the plastic sleeve which then slides over the lock mechanism!

I swapped my driver's door a couple of weeks ago, and don't remember this being too difficult...

If i remember correctly there is a rod from the pump to a plastic clip that slides onto the lock mechanism. My clip may have been broken, so came off easily. Then there's another rod from the clip to the door lock pin (in fact the door lock pin screws onto the rod).

Vac pipe pulls off but needs a fair tug.

Then two screws and out.

TFE your sig made me laugh, that's spot on

There's a metal loop on the rod that attaches to the back of the door lock, it's spring loaded so can be a bit of a pita, but rest is pretty much as advised previously.

The more you fiddle the more it will become obvious how it comes apart.
