Unfortunately it is that time again when i need to replace my tyres on my mk3, but this time all four will need doing    i have always had Toyo proxies on the Golf, but cannot find a decent price for them online (out of stock at mytyres). i have seen Kumhos 712, which have a mixed write up, and i am guessing are a lower quality than the toyos....has anyone any experience with these tyres??

Cheers for the responses...will have a look at both, although I did look at black circles, but a lot of the garages around here try and sting you for fitting if they dont supply the tyre

Give www.mytyres.co.uk a try, very cheap.

I ordered 4 Toyo Proxes from Mytyres yesterday, came to ?230 for 4. Didn't have any stock problems but they are 215/40/16. Which seems to be a very unpopular size judging by the price of most tyres i looked at.
I wish i had 195/50/15 wheels, then people pay you to take their tyres!

Yep, thats where I got my Toyos from last time, but they seem to have problems in getting stock for 205/50/15. I paid ?42 a tyre last time but I see if I went down to 195s, as on the earlier mk3s I could get them for ?32!!
