Post by: CraigDavieBeattie on 09 July 2010, 13:49
Know the bits around the radio, stereo etc, where a lot of it comes in the wood effect, well mines is black but i want to spray it silver to match outside of the car. How do i remove them all safely without snapping anything. Thanks.

What car is it?

If its black then you need to remove the entire radio cage as the side strips are not removable (assuming those bits have not been sprayed previously by another owner)

well if its what u asked its a 1.4 model mate, and yes its black. I have had a look and cant seem to find anything where they clip on etc, i know the cup holder part is on by two small pins but as for the rest im not sure, i know the part at the bottom where the vagcom plugs in just slides off but not sure how to get the temp surrounding bits off.

Side strips aren't removeable - that's the point I was making

Aircon surround - flat blade screwdriver in at the side and lever (be careful though)
