Oh well, I just couldn't find anything else that me and my girlfriend both liked.
So after selling a black 3dr GTi in January this year, I've gone and bought
a black 5dr GTi. The new one is older and has a higher mileage, but has 18" Monzas which my last one didn't have. It also has an armrest like my old one.
What can I say, but with a baby on the way and already having a 6 year old I could not find anything that does the fun family all-rounder better than a 5dr Golf GTi. :)

I bought a 5dr with family in mind. Didn't want to have to sell the car at any point. Plus with my previous car being 5dr, it was much easier shuffling people around.

The 5 door mk5 looks better than 5 door version of previous generations in my opinion. The rear doors flow with the body very well.
