as above where can i get a remap and how much live in bridgend so anywhere in wales would be good and cheap would be better
-
Cheap is never better, unless it's a shot..... Drive the car to Rtech or did you buy it because you hate driving??? If you did then Rtech also do mobile mapping, there is many-a-link to their website and even more posts with very similar questions in the search bar at the top or in the remap section on the homepage pal

yh you get what your pay for basicly

R-tech came to me for a £40 call out fee + price of remap and it was well worth the buck!!

As others have said, drive to R-Tech in Hinckley. It's well worth the money and you won't regret it.

ok r-tech it is then my mate also said he paid like £500 for his but he got somthing to put it back to the normal setting or somthing what the advantage of this? ? ?
-
You won't be getting any of that from R-Tech. It's mapped or it's not
-
Was it something like an HKS manual boost controller? I don't think there is an advantage unless you have an evo or similar. Just a normal remap is excellent. I don't think the golf is ecu is clever enough to work properly with the controller without over and underfuelling etc
-
Thanks me and my mate are both getting done on the same day he got the gt tdi 130 bhp :)
should I get the 007 dv before I get the map or after??

Before would be better
-
Ok nice one mate will buy it now should I put it on straight away or soon as it's remaped ??
-
Nick at R-Tech should be able to provide you with one and fit it on the day.
-
Take it with you to R Tech as you need green spring in it before remap and yellow spring after.
-
Ok nice one will I need anything els??
-
A panel filter and 3''downpipe would help along with uprated turbo inlet pipe and Ko3s turbo if you don't already have them. Also a front mounted intercooler and cat back system so you only have to do the one trip and get a stage 2 straight away......
-
Ok I don't know what turbo I have my golf it 1999 veg 1.8 20v turbo do you know what one that is I know I got a good exhaust on it don't know about the down pipe was done by long life when my dad had it what's a good intercoller for it and will r-tech fit all that???
