Cheap is never better, unless it's a shot..... Drive the car to Rtech or did you buy it because you hate driving??? If you did then Rtech also do mobile mapping, there is many-a-link to their website and even more posts with very similar questions in the search bar at the top or in the remap section on the homepage pal

R-tech came to me for a £40 call out fee + price of remap and it was well worth the buck!!

As others have said, drive to R-Tech in Hinckley.  It's well worth the money and you won't regret it.

Was it something like an HKS manual boost controller? I don't think there is an advantage unless you have an evo or similar. Just a normal remap is excellent. I don't think the golf is ecu is clever enough to work properly with the controller without over and underfuelling etc

Nick at R-Tech should be able to provide you with one and fit it on the day.

Take it with you to R Tech as you need green spring in it before remap and yellow spring after.

A panel filter and 3''downpipe would help along with uprated turbo inlet pipe and Ko3s turbo if you don't already have them. Also a front mounted intercooler and cat back system so you only have to do the one trip and get a stage 2 straight away......
