Well at last the insurence are doing something about it.
The lovely girl that reversed into me and drove off at last has put in the claim, I have said that I want my garage to do the work not one of there sh*t garages that use copy parts etc... So now I have to wait 10 days till someone comes to look at the car to check that my garage has not over priced the work!
Anyway I moaned as can't drive car over 30 cause of the awfull noise it makes now and when it rains it leaks nicely too.
So they gave me a hire car, a brand new ford focus 1.6 and all I can say is that Ford has gone down hill since the early 90's
The view is awfull, I know it is worse cause being a 5 dr but you can't even see in teh blind spot cause of a piller in the way. It goes round bends like a whale wobbling all over the place, I can't find one good thing to say about it. I have had a 4 motion and a seat cupra R to compare it to and yes I know they are sports models but this is just awfull. My 1.2 clio was faster it takes for ever to get to 60. And even with teh seat as high as it goes I can't see any of the bonnet lol ?I am not that short!
Everything inside is really cheap and plastic, I have been put off Fords for life!

it will handle crap when its high sided!
when will theses manufacturers learn!
80's rs200's thats what we need!
series 1 rs turbos not all this bottle bank crap!
my mate had a ford ka when his was being repaired!
and was a pile of crap that was...... only good thing about it was it was better on fuel.... it was a 1.3 where as his 1.2 3cyl seat ibiza wasnt as good as the ka on mpg!

the mpg isn't any btter for me, as the focus is a 1.6 and my car is a 1.3 haha so nothing is good here

Oh dear. I'm driving to Switzerland in three weeks to go skiing, in my friend's 1.6 Focus
Maybe if i pretend to be asleep for 10 hours i will get out of taking my turn!
Things could be worse for you though, my mum recently had a Daewoo Matiz as a courtesy car!!!! She was livid.

I was lucky I was meant to have a Corsa but teh hire place couldn't find the keys so teh Focus arrived instead
You will be ok as long as you don't mind going slow, and don't take to many bends or u will end up feeling sick!

I had a Focus hire car for a weekend last year, had to get something the gf could drive (she is 23) and they got good reviews from the press.
The pair of us didn't like it, drove from Sunderland to Portsmouth and back in a weekend.
Gear change is notchy as hell
Variable steering weight thingy is annoying!
Can't say I can remember anything positive about it.
Much prefered the hired Saab 93 I had a couple of weeks before hand
