I done a bit of research myself on flywheels for vr6, seems the best way would be to buy a alloy flywheel, and have it at 6kgs, i cnat remember the name of the one i was looking at but it was over £300! but i heard it gave really good acceleration with no stalling or dodgy idle! Is there a cheeper way though? does the standard flywheel lightened and balanced to the same weight worth doing?

Look for Hotgolf on Club GTI and he will lighten and balance your flywheel for about a third of that price. You will need to send him either your flywheel or another one.
A lightened flywheel will allow the engine to rev quicker - smaller lighter rotating mass.
