As the title says really, where is the light sensor located for the autolights?
I think mine may be dirty and needs a clean as takes ages for them to go off once on.
Thanks,

The auto lights sensor is in the rear view mirror where it mounts to the screen. There is another light sensor in the passenger wing mirror but Im pretty sure thats for the auto dimming rear view mirror, Ive also got a feeling there might be another auto lights sensor in here aswell, not 100% though.
Dont know how you would go abouts cleaning it though :undecided:

Its when ive parked in an underground car park or garage the lights auto come on then take an age to turn off, if at all when driving around in daylight?
-
Sounds like the sensor is duff as they are non-adjustable :(
I would highly doubt that its dirt on them which is causing the lights to stay on.
-
They seem to do the opposite of whats required... on when not needed and off when needed.
takes ages for them to go off once on.
^^^ You can turn them off yourself, you know...

I generally leave mine on auto as it seems sensible but I often put them on earlier when I am driving - I have never felt the need to turn them off.
However last couple of trips they have come on very early.
I can't work this out at all. :undecided:

I'm pretty sure you can adjust the sensitivity on VCDS.

no I don't think you can either.... The sensor should always be clean as it's in the arc of the wipers.
