I ve got a couple of questions
what is this ?

i had my golf scanned other day and came up with a Thermostat fault is this were its located on my TDi [AGR] also how much is the Thermostat and what else do i need

Also i travelled down to Cornwall this weekend and i found that my rear tyres were rubbing on the inside of the arches when i was going over bumps i have my golf lowed but not loads i had 4 people in the car and luggage is there a way to stuffen up the rear or do i have to get different springs etc?
this is how low i am atm.

I think the rubbing is all part and parcel of slamming it ;) just gotta go over bumps sloooow - I get it too when I have people in the back.

lol had to, mates got a Astra van and my lass and my mates lass have small cars ghetto VW Mk1 Polo and Corsa C so only the Beast could do lol 600 miles on bumpy motorways wasn't a nice trip back after i noticed lol

Thermostat parts i.e thermostat and o ring seal plus approx 2 litres of G12++ can be got from tps for around £30 nearly the same from the dealers (unless you get a nice little discount :smug:) fit oem genuine vag parts :wink: oh and the top pic the part your asking about is the c.p.s sensor (crankshaft position sensor) for identifying cyl top dead centre etc

is the second pic where the thermostat is ?
No probs
i'm not 100% sure well on the dervs anyway :rolleyes: i thought the stats on petrols and dervs were at the side of the block (facing front) near the timing belt end behind the alternator :undecided:

that's on the side of the engine but air box side
